What Weather in the Night? Tropical Nights in Parts of the Country

On the night of Thursday to Friday (August 28–29), light to moderate cloud cover will dominate the eastern and southeastern regions of Poland. Other areas will see moderate cloud cover with occasional heavy rain showers. Thunderstorms are forecast in the corridor spanning Pomerania, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Greater Poland, Lubusz, and Lower Silesia. Localized rainfall from 15 to 25 mm is possible, along with hail. Minimum temperatures will range from 15°C in the north to 20°C in the southeast, reaching up to 21°C in central regions and 23°C in areas affected by the halny wind. Winds will be light to moderate, with gusts in some areas. In mountainous regions, gusts may reach 75 km/h in the Carpathians, 70 km/h in the Sudetes, 90 km/h in the Beskids, and 110 km/h on the Tatra peaks. Thunderstorms may bring wind gusts up to 70 km/h.

Friday Weather Forecast: Heatwaves Exceeding 30°C

On August 29 (Friday), light to moderate cloud cover will be present in the southeast and easternmost regions. The rest of the country will see moderate cloud cover with occasional showers and thunderstorms, primarily in the corridor from Gdańsk Pomerania and Warmia through Kuyavia and Łódź areas to Lower Silesia and Opole. Thunderstorms may bring heavy rainfall of 20–30 mm and hail. Maximum temperatures will range from 20°C in the west to 27°C in the center, reaching up to 31°C in the east, southeast, and occasionally in Mazovia. Coastal and northern regions will remain cooler at around 19°C. Winds will be light to moderate, with gusts in the eastern half of the country. Gusts may reach 70 km/h in the Sudetes, 80 km/h in the Beskids, and 100 km/h in the Tatra Mountains. Thunderstorms may bring gusts of up to 70 km/h.

Weather Forecast for Saturday and Sunday

On Saturday, moderate cloud cover will prevail in western Poland. Other regions will see moderate to thick cloud cover, with occasional light rain showers in the north, east, center, and southeast. Thunderstorms are possible overnight in the corridor from Podlasie through Mazovia to Lesser Poland. On Sunday, thunderstorms may occur in the southeast and initially in the northeastern regions. Minimum temperatures will range from 12°C in the east to 18°C in the east and center. Maximum temperatures will rise to 23°C in the north and 27°C in the southeast. Coastal areas and Podhalu will remain cooler at around 20°C. Winds will be light, with gusts of up to 60 km/h during thunderstorms.
