Flight operations suspended at Warsaw‑Radom Airport
The Warsaw‑Radom Airport, named after the heroes of the Radom September 1976, remains closed until Saturday, August 30, at 2:00 a.m. Airline operators will receive detailed flight information when it becomes available.
Flights shifted to Warsaw Chopin Airport
Airlines that normally operate at Radom – Wizz Air, MGA Airlines, LOT, and EnterAir – have moved the scheduled Friday flights to Warsaw’s Chopin Airport. Passengers will be provided with transportation to and from the new departure point.
F‑16 crash during training near Radom
At 19:00 on Thursday, an F‑16 crashed during exercises preceding planned weekend Air Show demonstrations. Major pilot Maciej Krakowiak, a highly respected aviator in the 31st Tactical Air Base in Poznań‑Krzesin, was killed. Polish Minister of Defence Władysław Kosiniak‑Kamysz offered condolences and confirmed that the incident will be investigated.
