Warsaw Police Capture Fugitive Sought on Extradition Warrant for 11-Year Tax Fraud Sentence

Warsaw police arrested a 54-year-old man who had been on the run for nearly a decade after escaping a tax fraud prison sentence.

The suspect, a 54-year-old man, was involved in organized tax evasion and fuel smuggling rings between 2012-2013.

Olsztyn Court Warrant

The suspect was wanted on a warrant issued by the Olsztyn District Court for his role in a criminal group responsible for tax fraud, fuel and VAT evasion schemes, and fraudulent claims against the state treasury.

Previous Sentences

The fugitive, who had escaped custody, had been sentenced by courts in Olsztyn, Wyszków, Ostrow Wielkopolski, Łomża, Warsaw-Śródmieście, Chrzanów, and Katowice.
