Will September Bring Heat Waves Up To 34 Degrees Celsius?

The Polish Institute of Meteorology predicts temperature extremes for September, with chances of heat waves up to 34°C in parts of the country.

September Heat Outlook

The Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has released a long-term forecasts indicating temperatures between 22 to 26°C during the first week of September, with a 4% possibility of heat waves (temperatures over 30°C) in the southwest region.

Poland Sat News Contradicts Forecast

Poland Sat News reports a more extreme forecast, predicting a heat wave of up to 32°C on September 2nd, rising to an unprecedented 33-34°C from September 8th to 9th.

Weather Warnings Issued

The IMGW has issued the first-level heat alerts for parts of Radom, Lublin, and Chełm starting Monday. The National Meteorological Service expects the alerts to expand to cover most of the country the following day, forecasting possible storms in the west and heat waves in the east.
