Investigation Launched
An investigation was launched into the Trinum Perfectum University in Lodz, focusing on the issuance of fake diplomas to foreign students, predominantly from Ukraine. The investigation also explores allegations of accepting bribes amounting to at least three million Polish złoty.
Russian Connections
The university’s connections to Russian nationals and entities are under scrutiny. Heorhij Szczokin, a Ukrainian national, and his son Rostysław have significant stakes in the university. The university is reported to have strong ties to Russia, with allegations of the son having connections with Russian agents and the son’s wife being involved in a Crimean resort owned by Russians.
Ukrainian Students Continue Online Studies
In April of this year, the Trinum Perfectum University in Lodz changed its name to the Higher School of Social Sciences and Security. Despite the change, Ukrainian students still engage in online studies, with no plans to come to Poland for their education. The institution collaborates with a private university in Kyiv, offering joint studies completely remote.
