Teens suspected of mob-style assault on 17-year-old in Silesia

Police arrested two teenagers in Ruda Slaska who allegedly beat a 17-year-old, stole his phone and wallet, and threatened to increase his debt.

Suspects Identified

Two males aged 17 and 18 were apprehended by police from the Ruda Slaska Municipal Police as suspects in the August 24 beating incident in Bielszowice, a district of Ruda Slaska.

Attack Details

The 17-year-old victim was lured to Ruda Slaska by the perpetrators. The older suspect demanded repayment of a debt owed by a friend, threatening him with a pistol-grip replica gun. When the victim wouldn’t comply, the attackers beat and kicked him, stealing his phone and wallet. They threatened him, saying his debt was only growing.

Judicial Consequences

Both suspects face up to 15 years in prison. Police found 50 layers of different drugs with the older suspect. One suspect had also been sought for absconding from a juvenile detention center. The court has temporarily detained both under an arrest warrant for three months.

Expert Opinion

According to prof. Marek Konopczyński, a socialization instructor, the incident appears to be a clearly criminal act much like ones committed by adults in the world of organized crime. – As reported by TVN24.
