A man walking to his car on the Tricity Ring Road in Gdynia was hit and seriously injured after a driver failed to stop behind a large delay.
Collision near accident
On Tuesday, September 2nd, traffic on the Tricity Ring Road in Gdyni came to a standstill in the Łódz direction. A driver stepped out of their vehicle to retrieve something from the trunk and was struck by another vehicle, which failed to stop.
Recieved assistance at the scene
The local rescue helicopter was dispatched to the location where the driver had been struck. The injured man was airlifted to hospital for treatment, and there appeared to be no serious threats to his life.
Previous accident
Nearly 45 minutes prior, an unrelated vehicle accident caused a jam, leading to the presence of the victim near his car.
