Poland’s First Fatal Electric Scooter Crash Recorded

Two people died in a head-on collision between an electric scooter and a Volvo tractor-trailer on national road 92 in Błonie-Wieś, west of Warsaw, on September 1 at 10:05 PM local time.

Deadly Head-On Collision

At approximately 10:05 PM on Monday, September 1, a head-on collision occurred between a west-bound electric scooter carrying two men—a 32-year-old Polish citizen and a 20-year-old Ukrainian—and a Volvo tractor-trailer with a trailer on the Sochaczewska section of national road 92 in Błonie-Wieś. Both men were killed instantly.

Emergency Response

The scene was initially responded to by six fire brigades, two medical rescue teams, and the police. The investigation later revealed that neither driver had been intoxicated, and the deceased men showed signs of possible alcohol consumption.

Collision Impact

The electric scooter was believed to be traveling at approximately 60 km/h at the time of impact.
