Polish Police Detain Drunk Mini Cooper Driver With Nearly 2.0 Promille BAC

Polish police apprehended a drunk Mini Cooper driver near Pruszków who tested nearly twice the legal alcohol limit, prompting a high-speed chase and subsequent arrest. He now faces charges of drunk driving.

Pursuit Details

On Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at approximately 10:00 AM, police from the Pruszków district stopped a Mini Cooper driver at the intersection of Przerąbkowska and Sękocińska streets in Wolica, after the driver initially ignored stop signals and attempted to flee. The pursuit ended at the same intersection.

Alcohol Test Results

Police breath tests revealed nearly 2 promille (1.83) alcohol content in the driver’s system, well above the legal limit of 0.5 promille in Poland. Despite this, the driver possessed a valid driver’s license.

Charges and Procedure

After preliminary investigations, the driver was taken into custody and placed in a sobriety detention facility. Following detoxification, procedural actions will be taken against him, and the collected evidence will be handed over to the public prosecutor’s office. Further police actions are pending.
