Two recent surveys show the Coalition losing support while the Confederation gains ground, with PSL and Szymon Hołownia’s parties struggling to reach the threshold.
First Survey Shows Coalition Dropping
According to a poll commissioned by Super Express and conducted by the Institute for Research Pollster, the Civic Coalition leads with 32.6%, followed by the Law and Justice party with 31.6%, and the Confederation with 12.6%. The Left, Together, and Confederation of the Polish Crown also gained seats in the Sejm. PSL and Poland 2050 failed to reach the electoral threshold, with Poland 2050 receiving 3.45% and PSL receiving 1.48%. PSL’s current position and Poland 2050 would not allow them to receive funding from the state budget.
Second Survey: Poll Conducted by IBRiS
Onet published the results of a survey conducted by IBRiS on September 2nd, which also gave victory to the Civic Coalition with 28.5%. The Law and Justice party received 28.3% of the votes, while the Confederation gained 14.4%. The Left regained 8.1% support, while other parties including Together, PSL, the Confederation of the Polish Crown, and Poland 2050 failed to cross the electoral threshold.
2023 Parliamentary Elections Results
On October 15th, 2023, the Polish electorate voted, bestowing the greatest support on the Law and Justice party with 35.38%, followed by the Civic Coalition with 30.70%, the Third Way with 14.40%, the Left with 8.61%, and the Confederation with 7.16%. This resulted in the following number of seats: Law and Justice – 194, Civic Coalition – 157, Third Way – 65, the Left – 26, and the Confederation – 18.
