Budka Criticizes Nawrocki’s US Visit: “Not a Private Meeting”

Polish President Karol Nawrocki’s visit to meet Donald Trump in Washington has drawn criticism from opposition leader Borys Budka, who accused the presidential team of pursuing a confrontational foreign policy.

Descendent of Presidential Mandate

Budka emphasized that the presidential office’s agenda is politically determined by Jarosław Kaczyński. “He was installed to fight the government, which makes the agenda very bad,” he told Polsat News.

Talks with US Officials

Nawrocki arrived in the US capital in the early hours of the morning local time and will meet with Trump in the Oval Office at around 11:00 am. During their talks, the Polish President and the former US president will attend an airshow.

Constitutional Duty

Budka also noted that the government’s foreign policy direction is mandated by the constitution, suggesting that Nawrocki’s team went beyond their constitutional mandate by pursuing a confrontational path with the US government.
