Polish President Andrzej Duda commented on Culture Minister Karol Nawrocki’s meetings in the US, expressing support for the strong Poland-US alliance and highlighting ongoing military cooperation.
First Presidential Visit to the United States
The visit was Nawrocki’s first international engagement as Poland’s Culture Minister and his second meeting with US President Donald Trump, with the first taking place during the US election campaign in May.
Strong Words on Alliance
Duda commended the visit, emphasizing the strength of the Polish-American alliance. “The Poland-US sojourn is strong! Eastern NATO’s flank will remain secure thanks to allied cooperation and the presence of US soldiers in Poland,” said Duda.
Honoring Fallen Soldier
Duda also noted the “profoundly moving homage to late Major Krakowian, an expression of solidarity and brotherhood between nations.”
Future Military Cooperation
American soldiers will remain in Poland, with potential expansion if Warsaw is willing. This commitment was confirmed by Trump during his meeting with President Nawrocki.
