Poland Revokes Presidential Advisor from Key US Meeting

The Wednesday afternoon discussion at the White House between Karol Nawrocki and Donald Trump was attended only by presidential advisors without any Ministry of Foreign Affairs representatives. This sparked controversy, as critics claim the exclusion signals a decline in Poland’s diplomatic strength in international negotiations.

Nawrocki Defends Exclusion of Sikorski

Following the meeting, Karol Nawrocki asserted that the presence of Radosław Sikorski would have weakened Poland’s position in these talks. The presidential advisor maintained that this was not an isolated incident and that the exclusion of Foreign Ministry representatives was essential for the character of their working visit.

Ministry Criticized for Communication Issues

Rafał Leśkiewicz, the president’s spokesperson, expressed his concerns about the lack of proper information flow from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stating that the presidential delegation could have conducted the talks effectively without their input.
