President Trump Invites Himself to Poland; Tentative Date Debated

Polish President Karol Nawrocki met with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, discussing energy, economy, and military matters with a potential revisit possibly next year.

The leaders discussed energy, economy, and military cooperation, with Trump reaffirming U.S. military presence in Poland.

Future Meeting Tentative

Nawrocki announced that “I invited President Trump to Poland; we have not yet set a date. I think this could be next year. For the entire region, it would be great if President Trump visited Warsaw. Such an invitation has appeared, but we have not moved on to concrete arrangements,” he said.

Military Presence

During the open portion of the meeting, Trump declared that “U.S. soldiers will remain in Poland, and their presence may increase if the Polish government wishes,” Nawrocki added.
