During the program “Kropka nad i” on TVN24, host Monika Olejnik engaged in a heated exchange with Government Chancellor Zbigniew Bogucki regarding the issue of German reparations. Bogucki questioned Olejnik on whether the matter of reparations would be included in President Karol Nawrocki’s meeting with Donald Trump. He stated that he did not know if the topic would be discussed during the meeting.
Exchange Escalates
When Bogucki continued to press the issue, Olejnik declined to respond and called the question “arrogant and rude.” This led to a further escalation in the exchange as Bogucki claimed the question was “very smart.”
Nawrocki’s Stance on Reparations
Despite the disagreement, Karol Nawrocki, the Government Chancellor, emphasized the importance of seeking reparations from Germany, stating it was necessary to build a partnership based on “truth and good relations.” He also called on the Polish government to strengthen its voice on the international stage and build a secure future with its western neighbors.
