Warsaw prepares 75 million zloty aquatic center on Ostródzka Street

The capital is nearing completion of a new swimming facility on Warszawa’s Białołęka district, with construction likely to begin following a 75 million zloty confirmation.

Construction Progress:

The city of Warsaw is finalizing its preparations to build a new swimming facility on Ostródzka Street on Białołęka. The district has completed the open-bid stage and secured the necessary funds in the city budget to proceed.

Project Details:

The new swimming center will be located at the intersection of Ostródzka and Hemara streets. The project includes a indoor swimming pool with full amenities and adjacent road and terrain infrastructure. After the bid opening (August 14, 2025), the city announced the budget for the facility’s funding at 75,634,046.20 zloty gross.

Facility Features:

The facility will include a competition pool measuring 25m x 16m with six swimming lanes, a recreational pool, a kids’ pool, sauna area, jacuzzi with salt room, and ice grotto. Plans also include a tower with slides serving as an observation platform, along with food service facilities.

Architecture:

The architectural design is being developed by BDR Architects, selected through a competition. The concept aims to integrate the facility into the greenery and use sustainable materials, with the pool and sauna area opening into the future city park near Brzeziński Row.
