A 38-year-old cyclist collided with a Citroen driver who had 0.3 mg/l of alcohol in their system at the Odyńca-Joliot-Curie intersection in Warszawa.
Collision Details
The cyclist was riding on the right side of Odyńca Street from Wołoska toward Aleje Niepodległości when the Citroen driver, moving in the same direction, attempted a right turn at the intersection. The collision occurred at this moment with the cyclist, injuring her hip and causing her to fall onto the road.
Emergency Response
Medical and police units were dispatched to the scene. Initial assessment led to the decision to transport the injured cyclist to the hospital. The cyclist was found to be sober. Police from the traffic department conducted further investigations at the scene and determined that the driver was under the influence, with 0.3 mg/l of alcohol in their system.
