Polish Pedestrian Killed by Truck in Northern Poland

On September 4th, a 48-year-old truck driver struck and killed a pedestrian on a dangerous stretch of road in Nasielsk, Poland, both directions of Provincial Road 632 remain closed.

Accident Details

An investigation by local police indicates that the driver was traveling on a remodeled section of road when he struck the pedestrian, who had been walking alongside the vehicle when he suddenly turned beneath the truck’s wheels.

Road Conditions Praised

The driver tested negative for intoxicants, but community members have long complained about the lack of sidewalks on this stretch of road, which lacks pedestrian walkways on one side and a crossing hundreds of meters away.
