Sulejówk Tunnel Renovation to Cause Two-Month Traffic Disruption

The Sulejówk tunnel renovation project will close the Józef Piłsudski Avenue tunnel from September 5-2025, redirecting traffic through an alternate route for two months.

Temporary Traffic Rerouting:

Mazovian Provincial Road Administration announced that traffic will be redirected through the Przejazd/Krasińskiego tunnel during the renovation period.

Renovation Duration and Scope:

The tunnel renovation, conducted by firm INTOP, is expected to last two months and cost approximately 1.9 million zł.

Safety Improvements:

The project focuses on rebuilding damaged structural elements, including the left sidewall support and reinforced concrete beam.

Current Infrastructure:

The town currently features two tunnel bypasses under rail line 2, with the newer tunnel at the Przejazd/Krasińskiego location opened on June 12, 2025.
