A 30-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision on Bielika Street in Wawer, Warsaw after being resuscitated at the scene and transported to the hospital.
High-speed collision on Bielika Street
A collision occurred on September 3rd at approximately 5 PM on Bielika Street in Wawer, near the Patriotów and Wał Miedzeszyński junction. A motorcyclist, driving a Kawasaki Z750 from the Wał Miedzeszyński side, lost control on a nearly straight section of the road and crashed. The impact was severe, with parts of the vehicle, including the fuel tank, scattered over several dozen meters.
Resuscitation efforts ultimately unsuccessful
The motorcyclist lay in a roadside ditch and showed no signs of life. A medical response team initiated resuscitation and then transported the victim to the hospital, where despite resuscitation efforts, the 30-year-old man died the same day at 6 PM. The man held a motorcycle driving license.
Investigation
Early investigations included reading the motorcycle’s speedometer, which indicated a speed of over 260 km/h. Traffic police experts will verify this during the further course of the investigation. Bielika Street in the collision area was closed to traffic for several hours while police carried out procedural actions and secured evidence under the supervision of the prosecutor.
