Polish authorities conducted a raid on the Natural Fibers and Medicinal Plants Institute following an investigation into the country’s recovery funds allocation by the Controller General’s Office.

The Natural Fibers and Medicinal Plants Institute, while relatively small, was allocated significant funds from the National Recovery Plan to support innovation in agriculture and textile industries.

Under the Recovery Plan, the Institute implemented two major projects: creating a modern analysis and agro-technical research center ($26.5 million) and establishing a laboratory for modern biotechnological plant breeding methods ($10.3 million).

The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that it provided all documents, agreements, and materials to the Controller General’s Office.
