German Massacre: Dog Shot 42 Times in Head, Owner Arrested

A shocking discovery was made in Germany when a dog was found with 42 metal pellets in its head after being shot 42 times, leading to the owner’s arrest.

Shocking Discovery

A dramatic event took place in March when residents of a village near Budziszyn found a severely wounded dog. The dog was extremely weakened and had multiple head injuries. Coincidental passersby decided to take the dog to the nearest shelter. It was there that they discovered the extent of the dog’s suffering.

Medical Intervention

X-rays revealed that the dog had 42 metal pellets from a sawed-off shotgun in its head. Veterinarians performed a series of complex operations to save the dog’s life. While some pellets were removed, some will remain in its body forever, as removing them could have been fatal.

Investigation

The police quickly traced the source of the dog’s suffering and identified the 48-year-old owner. In early August, police searched his home and seized the sawed-off shotgun used in the incident. The man will be charged with animal cruelty, with the possibility of a 3-year jail sentence or a substantial fine under German law.

Happy Ending

However, this story also has a positive ending. “Keks” found a new home. One of the shelter workers decided to adopt the recovering dog and provide it with a safe home. The dog is slowly recovering – despite the pellets remaining in its body – and slowly beginning to trust humans again.
