Warsaw Independence March to Pass Through City Center on Saturday

A public gathering and march organized by the Independence March Association will take place on Saturday, September 6, causing center-city traffic disruptions.

March Route and Duration

The march is set to begin at 13:00 outside the European Commission Representation office on Jasna Street, concluding in the vicinity of the Polish Parliament on Wiejska Street. The event is expected to last until 18:00.

Key Implications

The procession will create temporary traffic restrictions, with manual traffic control at key intersections. Buses and trams may be routed onto alternative paths per dispatcher decisions in coordination with the police. Sudden road closures on streets intersecting the march route might occur.

Organizer’s Message

The march is organized under the slogan “Poland for Poles. Poles for Poland.” The organizer, the Independence March Association, maintains a stance that is contrary to European standards of equal treatment and respect for human dignity, which serve as the foundation for EU member state cooperation.
