Explosives Found in Home of Injured After Military Range Blast in Poland

Two civilians were injured in a blast during an unauthorized intruder’s nighttime explosives incident at a Warsaw military range, where significant explosive materials have since been found in their residence.

Explosives Discovered in Injured Parties’ Residence

The military police discovered significant quantities of explosive materials inside the home of the two civilians injured during the blast at the military range in Warsaw’s Rembertów district.

Illegal Entry and Severe Injuries

The two individuals entered the military facility in defiance of clearly marked entry bans. Both suffered severe injuries, including multiple lacerations. One of the injured was airlifted to a hospital via helicopter, while the other was transported in an ambulance.

Military Facility Blast Details

On Saturday evening, military police highlighted in a statement that the injured civilians entered the facility “in defiance of clearly marked prohibitions.” The military police also noted that the origin of the explosive charge and the circumstances of the incident will be subject to investigation.

Public Safety Measures

Due to public safety concerns, the decision was made to evacuate buildings in the vicinity of Zawiszaków street. The police discovered remnants of grenades and mortar shells in the residence as well.
