Unidentified Drone Crashes Near Polish-Belarus Border

An unidentified drone equipped with a gasoline engine and featuring Cyrillic markings crashed onto a cornfield near the Polish-Belarusian border in Terespol, Poland.

A previously unaccounted flying device crashed in Polatycze, Terespol County, Lublin Voivodeship, just before 10 PM on Sunday. Initial investigations suggest the drone was equipped with a gasoline engine supplemented by propellers.

On Saturday, the 6th of September, authorities discovered another unidentified object that had crashed in Majdan-Sielec, Tomaszów County. The landowner reported the wreckage to the local prosecutor’s office, who subsequently secured the site.

Investigation and Findings

The investigated remnants of the drone were primarily composed of synthetic materials resembling styrofoam, with electronic systems linked to a gasoline engine detected within. Fragments with Cyrillic inscriptions were also found at the scene.
