Drone Intercepted Near Poland-Belarus Border in Eastern Poland

Authorities confirmed the discovery of a drone near the Poland-Belarus border in the village of Polatycze, located near the Terespol border crossing. No one was injured.

Drone Spotted by Border Guards

Border guards from the Polish Border Guard spotted the drone and promptly informed the local police station. The drone was found approximately 300 meters away from the border crossing.

Initial Investigation by Prosecutors

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Biała Podlaskie initiated an inquiry. The prosecutor’s office informed that the drone, reportedly a model with a gasoline engine and Cyrillic text, fell approximately 300 meters from the border crossing.

Similar Incidents in Recent Days

This is the second incident of a drone falling in the region within recent days. On September 6, authorities discovered an unidentified object that fell in the village of Majdan-Sielec in Tomaszów County, Lublin Voivodeship. The drone, primarily made of styrofoam-like material, contained electronic components connected to a gasoline engine and fragments with Cyrillic writing.
