A sudden hailstorm hit southern Poland Wednesday, causing property damage and infrastructure issues in Malopolska.
Immediate Aftereffects
At least 30 weather-related incidents were reported by 5 pm, with heavy hail damaging property and cars throughout the region.
No injuries were reported, but dozens of trees were uprooted and power lines were damaged.
Areas Impacted
The worst affected areas included Grzechynia, Krynica-Zdroju, and Kocierz Rychwałdzki, where hail damaged crops and vehicles.
Emergency Response
While the storm has passed, emergency crews remain active dealing with fallen trees, local flooding, and a fire in Dąbrowa Górnicza caused by lightning.
