Heavy Civilian Deaths
Israeli forces continue to target residential buildings in Gaza, resulting in significant civilian casualties. According to reports, at least 46 people were killed by Israeli forces in the coastal enclave on Sunday, while 409 others were injured the previous day.
Military Escalation:
The Israeli military has been leading a significant operation in the region, which includes destroying over 50 buildings in Gaza and damaging a further 100 residential buildings. Reports indicate that several hundred casualties have been recorded in recent attacks, with many Palestinians forced to seek shelter in temporary structures that have constantly come under threat.
Civilian Evacuations:
Residents in Gaza have been advised to evacuate certain areas, following the creation of a new humanitarian zone in the southern region of the Gaza Strip. However, many local leaders and citizens are expressing fears about the safety of such evacuation zones, as there is currently “no safe place” according to those familiar with the situation.
