The nationwide demonstration by Polish prison service workers will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Warsaw. Participants are scheduled to gather at 11:45 near the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, with the official start at 12:00 followed by a concluding event near the Sejm around 14:45.
Protest Demands:
The prison service workers, represented by various unions including NSZZ Funkcjonariuszy i Pracowników Więziennictwa, are protesting unfulfilled promises from a March 2025 agreement, demanding housing allowances similar to those offered to military personnel and the initiation of a Służba Więzienna modernization program (2026-2029) with increased pay and benefits.

Coparticipants will include other uniformed services, as evidenced by the presence of the Polish Customs Officers’ Union, who will join protests at the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Justice, and Sejm between 11:45 and 15:00.
