Savage Storms Target Poland: RCB Issues Emergency Alert for Highest Risk Areas

The Polish government’s RCB has issued first and second-level warnings for thunderstorms affecting southern Poland, primarily in the Malopolska region. Significant rainfall threatens parts of Tatra County, with potential flooding and the RCB urging residents to stay away from swollen rivers and follow emergency officials’ orders.

Weather Forecast Details

Light to moderate showers are expected across most of the country on Monday, with rainfall ranging from 2-5 liters per square meter in central and southern regions where thunderstorms are possible. Temperatures will rise up to 25 degrees Celsius, with the eastern region experiencing sunny and pleasant weather, while western parts will face high cloud cover that will gradually clear during the day.

Western regions will experience strong winds from the south-east, with the northern-eastern areas anticipating moderate humidity, while residents in central and south-western regions will face higher humidity levels.
