The Polish government will convene in an extraordinary session on Wednesday to address airspace violations by Russia, according to the government’s Chancellery. Meanwhile, the National Security Bureau (BBN) reports President Karol Nawrocki is being kept fully informed of the situation.
Emergency Cabinet Session Called
The government’s Chancellery announced that an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers would take place on Wednesday at 8 AM. Prime Minister’s spokesperson Adam Szłapka confirmed that a meeting of the premier with ministers responsible for national security is currently underway.
BBN Statement on Presidential Briefings
The National Security Bureau (BBN) reports that President Karol Nawrocki is continuously briefed on the ongoing violations of Polish airspace by Russia.
Donald Tusk’s and Karol Nawrocki’s Responses
Prime Minister Donald Tusk shared on X platform that he had informed NATO Secretary General of the current situation and the measures taken by Poland. “We are in constant contact,” Tusk wrote. President Karol Nawrocki also confirmed his constant communication with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, and top military leaders.
Russia Violates Polish Airspace
On Wednesday morning, the Operational Command Converged Arms reported that during Russia’s attack on objects located in Ukraine’s territory, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. The military operation to identify and neutralize these drones has since been initiated.
