Giant tree crushes 4 cars in Warsaw’s Mokotów district

A large tree fell at midnight on Tuesday in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, crushing four parked cars including an Audi.

Incident Overview

The tree, a poplar, fell onto four parked vehicles on Bernardyńska Street, causing significant material damage. In addition to the crushed Audi, two Toyotas and an Opel were damaged.

Emergency Response

Three fire brigades were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters spent over two hours cutting the fallen tree into smaller parts and removing heavy fragments from the vehicles using specialist HDS equipment. The vehicles were then moved to the roadside.

Injuries and Road Closures

No injuries were reported during the incident. Bernardyńska Street and surrounding sidewalks were blocked off during the rescue operations.

Weather Conditions

Storm conditions have not yet been determined as the cause of the tree’s fall, despite no major winds being reported the day before the incident.
