NATO: Drone Incidents Over Poland Not Aggression by Russia

NATO considers the drone incursions over Poland as neither an attack nor aggression from Russia, according to Reuters, citing a NATO source.

NATO’s Response

NATO does not interpret the intrusion of Russian drones into Polish airspace as an act of aggression, according to a report by Reuters. Preliminary assessments suggest up to 10 drones may have intentionally violated Polish airspace.

Polish Prime Minister’s Statement

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed the Sejm of 19 territorial violations. The Patriots air defense systems detected the objects but took no combat actions.

Night Operations Involving NATO Forces

Nighttime operations involved Polish F-16s, Dutch F-35s, Italian early warning AWACS planes, and mid-air refueling aircraft operated under NATO.

Escalation Alert

Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that part of the drones were shot down during an extraordinary cabinet meeting.
