Incursion of Foreign Aircraft
Preliminary information about units breaching Polish airspace began circulating in the early morning hours. Dutch allies’ and Italian aircraft stationed in Estonia flew over Poland, prompting immediate action.
Russian Attacks on Ukrainian Targets
The Operational Command of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces issued a warning: “During this attack carried out by the Russian Federation on targets located on the territory of Ukraine, our airspace has been repeatedly violated by unidentified aerial objects.” Operational efforts continue to identify and neutralize these objects.
Prime Minister’s Response
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stayed in constant contact with the President and Minister of Defense. Military weapons were used against the objects and recovery operations are ongoing.
