Polish Security Agency Warns of Russian Drones Over Poland

Russian drones reportedly violated Poland’s airspace, prompting the government to alert residents in three eastern provinces and unleashing speculation about a new phase of aggressive Russian actions.

Russia’s Drones Over Poland

The Polish government’s security center sent alerts to residents of Podkarpackie, Lubelskie, and Podlaskie voivodeships after Russian drones allegedly violated Poland’s airspace. The alerts instructed residents to report any drones or crash sites to authorities while maintaining calm.

Ukrainian Media Reports 10 Drones

According to Ukrainian media outlets, at least ten Russian drones attacked Poland. Commentators suggest that this marks a new phase of aggressive Russian actions. Overnight, Poland’s airspace was reportedly violated, likely by long-range Russian drones. Polish air defense systems were activated in response.

Maneuvers Zapad

Ukrainian edition Inform Napalm also linked the drone attacks to ongoing Russian maneuvers Zapad. If there is no clear response from the EU and the US in the form of sanctions on Russia and increased weapon supplies to Ukraine, the number of such attacks during maneuvers Zapad-2025 is expected to rise on both Poland and the Baltic countries.
