Tusk Accepts Netherlands’ Air Defense Support Offer

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported completion of talks with global leaders on Thursday, announcing Holland’s offer to provide Poland with advanced air defense systems to counter Russia’s drone incursion.

NATO Allies Commit To Polish Air Defense

During the talks, Tusk received concrete support commitments from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and other world leaders. The discussions focused on Poland’s September 9-10 airspace breach by Russian drones.

Additional Netherlands’ Security Support

Netherlands Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced his country’s decision to provide Poland with advanced air defense systems including Patriot, NASAMS, and counter-drone systems, with 300 troops to operate them. Construction is expected by the end of the year.

Former US President Trump Engages on Polish Security
