EU Leaders Show Solidarity with Poland
During her speech at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, von der Leyen emphasized the unprecedented airspace violation by over 10 Russian Shahed drones, stating, “We have witnessed a senseless and unprecedented violation of Poland’s and Europe’s airspace.”
EU Prepared to Defend Every Centimeter of Territory
The European Commission is planning to invest in satellite monitoring and drones as part of its defense measures. “Europewill defend every square centimeter of its territory,” she declared.
Proposals to Fund Ukraine’s Defense Efforts
Von der Leyen proposed a new resolution to finance Ukraine’s defense using frozen Russian assets. “We can provide reparations to Ukraine through cash-pooling from these Russian assets without compromising them,” she said.
