A 48-year-old driver crashed his BMW into a tree after swerving off the highway in Kamion, Poland, testing nearly four times the legal alcohol limit.
Car Swerves Off Highway
A 48-year-old driver lost control of his BMW on national road 70 in Kamion, near Żyrardów, around dawn. The vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree, rolling onto its side due to the force of the impact.
Preliminary Breath Test Results
Preliminary tests showed the driver had 3.7 milligrams of alcohol per liter of blood in his system, well above Poland’s legal limit of 0.2 milligrams per liter. Police, firefighters, and medical emergency teams were dispatched to the scene.
Driver hospitalized, investigation continues
The car’s driver, a 48-year-old resident of Łódzkie Province, was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The BMW driver held a valid driver’s license at the time of the accident. Polish police continue their investigation into the incident.
