A 38-year-old motorcyclist from Ciechanów county crashed into a cement pipe after losing control of his Suzuki motorcycle, with blood alcohol levels exceeding 1.5 promilles.
Drunk Driving Incident in Stryjewo Wielkie
Policjanci z Wydziału Ruchu Drogowego responded to a report of an accident in Stryjewo Wielkie at approximately 7:30 PM on Tuesday (9/9). The 38-year-old motorcyclist, from Ciechanów county, lost control of his Suzuki and slammed into a cement pipe after veering onto the shoulder.
Hospitalization and DUI Charges
The motorcyclist, with visibly severe physical injuries, was air-lifted to the hospital for emergency treatment. Samples of his blood were also taken for further examination. As per procedure, the police confiscated the motorcyclist’s driving license for legal proceedings as he was found to be nearly 1.5 promilles over the legal alcohol limit.

The Police in Ciechanów have recently appealed to the public, urging caution while driving and recommending sobriety checks. The incident highlighted the lethal effects of alcohol on reaction time, peripheral vision, and judgment on the road, emphasizing that impairment can lead to severe consequences for not just the driver, but also other road users.
