Kremlin Responds to Polish Statements on Russian Drones

Russian drones were shot down in Polish territory, marking the first such incident over NATO territory, prompting cautious responses from Russian officials and heightened vigilance from Polish authorities.

Polish Prime Minister’s Statement

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki speculated about the possibility of Russian state-sponsored disinformation campaigns in light of the incident, noting that NATO allies were taking the situation very seriously.

Kremlin’s Official Response

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reacted to Polish statements saying, “There is nothing new about the rhetoric we hear from Warsaw. This rhetoric has recently become characteristic of nearly all European capitals, and we see its continuation.”

Search for Drones

Polish military and police are still searching for 19 drones that entered Polish airspace on Wednesday, though 16 parts have been found so far in various locations including Czosnówka, Cześniki, Krzywowierzba-Kolonia, and Wohyń.
