Poland Faces Sharp Weather System Change as IMGW Warns of Rain Showers

The Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management has issued warnings of moderate to intense rain showers affecting western parts of the country, with temperatures ranging from 17-21° Celsius in affected areas and up to 27° in the east.

Alarming Weather Shifts

The Polish meteorological agency has reported significant weather changes, with moderate to intense rain showers affecting parts of western Poland. The system is expected to move eastward, causing both rainfall and thunderstorms across the country.

Areas Under Threat

Warnings have been issued for eight western regions of Poland, including Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Pomorskie, Zachodniopomorskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Lubuskie, Wielkopolskie, Dolnośląskie, Opolskie, and Śląskie. The northern regions will experience the most severe conditions by 11:00 PM with the effects subsiding in other areas by midnight.

Thunderstorms and Wind

The Institute has also issued warnings for severe thunderstorms in Podkarpackie and Małopolskie provinces and strong winds in the Warmia-Mazury region, with winds expected to be most severe in northern coastal areas.
