Chemical Sprayed at Krakow City Office, Official Harassed

Krakow’s Mayor Aleksander Miszalski reported an incident where a chemical irritant was sprayed at a city office, exposing staff and citizens to dangerous fumes, with the official and city hall staff facing subsequent harassment threats.

Mayor Reports Dangerous Incident

On September 12th, Krakow’s Mayor reported a “scandalous incident” that occurred at the city hall. A chemical irritant was sprayed onto a clerk’s desk, endangering both city staff and citizens present at the time. The city official responsible has reported burning sensations in their mucous membranes.

Police Report Filed

M Mayor has stated that this incident represents “another crossing of the line.” He distinguishes between political criticism and harassment of public officials, stating, “While criticism of city authorities is part of democratic debate, attacking city officials and citizens who come to city hall isn’t. It’s an act of aggression.”
