On Thursday, September 11th, a heated exchange took place between Konfederacja member Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik and Left eurosceptic Krzysztof Śmiszek, during a European Parliament debate on defense spending.

Zajączkowska-Hernik criticized her opponent’s stance on military spending, saying, “You’re so eager for war? Go to the front halls” responding to calls for increased defense initiatives.

In other news, Polish public radio’s Brussels correspondent Beata Płomecka reported on preliminary agreement among EU countries to extend sanctions on Russia by six months.
