Emergency Response
Around 2 p.m., emergency services received a report of an unresponsive infant in Stare Faszczyce, a village in the western Warsaw district. A rescue helicopter, medical team, fire department, and police were dispatched to the scene.
Tragedy Occurs Despite Efforts
When first responders arrived, they found the unresponsive 5-month-old baby in a crib. Despite desperate resuscitation efforts, the child could not be saved. A physician present confirmed the child’s death.
Preliminary Investigation Circa
Initial findings suggest Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or “crib death,” as the possible cause. However, the Warsaw Police Department is investigating the complete circumstances, under the supervision of the prosecutor.
