A man died and a child was injured in a tragic car accident on a curve off of Slask voivodeship road 789, near Czestochowa, with the driver pronounced dead at the scene.
Three People Injured
After veering off the road, the car collided with a barrier and then a tree and fence, forcing the evacuation of three
passengers: a 44-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman, and a 6-year-old child. The driver was tragically killed instantly.
Emergency Response
SL Police reported that the three injured passengers were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The site witnessed extensive emergency response efforts, including a helicopter from the Airborne Rescue Team.
Blockage and Investigation
The accident caused road 789 to be closed for time, locally rerouting traffic. Police are investigating the cause of the accident in conjunction with the prosecutor’s office, and at the time of the incident indicated it marked their 22nd fatal road accident under their #czarnyalertdrogowy” initiative. 23 people have tragically lost their lives during the duration of this initiative on Silesian roads.
