Enter Air Plane Skids Off Runway at Kraków’s Balice Airport, Flights Halted

A Turkish airline’s plane skidded off the runway at Kraków’s Balice Airport on Sunday, with flights currently suspended following the incident.

Enter Air Flight Incidents

The plane, operated by the Turkish airline Enter Air, was landing at Kraków’s Balice Airport after a flight from Antalya when it momentarily left the runway and came to a stop in the grass area.

Minor Injuries Reported

No serious injuries were reported among the passengers, as the aircraft only traveled a short distance after drifting off the runway at a low speed.

Airport Operations Halted

All air traffic to Kraków was rerouted to Pyrzowice Airport following the incident. Flights scheduled to land in Kraków were directed to this alternative airport, affecting several international flights including those from Swiss, Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines, and Wizz Air.

Emergency Response

Local emergency services, including the airport’s own fire department, responded to the scene. While no official call for assistance was made to Kraków’s fire brigade, the situation has been classified as an aviation emergency.
