22-Year-Old Faces Charges for Domestic Violence and Robbery Offense

A 22-year-old man was detained by police in Żoliborz after assaulting his partner and demanding robbery, with a potential penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

Detained on Suspicion of Assault

Polish police in Żoliborz arrested the 22-year-old man following an incident on Wojska Polskiego Street, where a woman was reportedly found beaten in a park according to a police report.

Details of Abuse and Robbery

At the scene, the victim claimed her boyfriend had been abusing her for several days while intoxicated, pulling her hair, choking her, and using vulgar language. The man reportedly acquired approximately 3,300 zł owned by the woman through his assault.

Alcohol Intoxication and Investigation

The suspect tested positive for over three-times the legal alcohol limit and was transferred to the Żolibórską police station. Charges include defamation, physical and verbal abuse, intimidation, and robbery.

Court Actions and Preventive Measures

Following sobering up, the man was formally charged with abusing his partner, violating her personal integrity, issuing threats, and robbery. The Regional Prosecutor implemented preventive measures, including police supervision, a 50-meter distance from the victim, no contact, and a 24-hour eviction order from their shared residence.
