Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Collision with Car on Wydawnicza Street Near Chopin Airport

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and traffic was blocked on Wydawnicza Street near Chopin Airport after a collision with a Seat car late Monday night. The car driver was found to have been sober.

Collision Details

A collision occurred on Wydawnicza Street near the Chopin Airport, between Poleczki and Kinetyczna streets, involving a Ducati motorcycle and a Seat passenger car on Monday, September 15th after 10pm. The motorcyclist was treated by emergency medical services with suspected internal injuries.

Cause of Collision

The driver of the red Seat, exiting from a parking spot and turning left towards the center, entered traffic and forced the motorcyclist, coming from Poleczki Street heading towards Kinetyczna, to yield right of way. The motorcyclist attempted to move to the left, but a direct collision with the vehicle occurred.

Emergency Response

Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and immediately took the motorcyclist to the hospital. Initial assessments revealed the motorcyclist’s condition, sobriety, and identity were unknown to police at the time. The Seat driver was found to have been sober and police proceeded with further investigation and examination of the crash site.

Street Closure

Wydawnicza Street remained blocked until the emergency services had completed their work at the scene.
