Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that Medical Forces Headquarters would be led by Colonel Mariusz Kiszka.

Prior to this appointment, Colonel Kiszka worked at the 4th Military Clinical Hospital in Krakow.

Aside from managing battlefield medicine, the new formation will also train civilian healthcare workers.
