A 64-year-old man driving a Jeep through Warsaw was blinded by the sun shortly after passing a roundabout on Kupiecka Street in the Białołęka district. The strong sunlight that entered his car caused him to lose control, swerving off the roadway.

Lamppost collision

The driver’s vehicle struck a street lamp before flipping onto its side. Fortunately, neither the driver nor any bystanders were injured during the incident.

Swift community response

Eyewitnesses quickly responded to the downed vehicle, assisting the driver in exiting the Jeep safely and righting the car. The driver, who was completely sober, escaped without any personal injuries.

Emergency services and traffic impact

One fire station, a medical rescue team, and local police all responded to the scene. The incident caused temporary blockage of one lane leading to Marywilskia Street, creating minor traffic disruptions in the area for approximately 30 minutes.
